Hire ‍IT Professionals

Latin America produces 500,000+ tech graduates annually, with major tech hubs in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico. The region's timezone overlap with the US (0-3 hours difference) means your IT team can respond to issues during your business day, not 12 hours later.

The cost difference is significant: a senior systems administrator in Chile costs $5,000-7,000/month versus $120k-140k/year ($10,000-11,600/month) for the same role in major US cities. Same expertise, different economy.

Staff augmentation means hiring IT professionals who integrate directly into your existing team. They use your tools, attend your meetings, report to your IT manager, and work your hours. You're not handing projects to an external vendor, you're adding capacity to your current team.

The difference shows up in response time. When your network goes down at 2pm, your nearshore IT support specialist is online and troubleshooting, not waiting until their workday starts tomorrow.

Roles requiring real-time response work particularly well: IT support specialists, help desk technicians, systems administrators, and network administrators. When someone needs access restored or a server issue diagnosed, timezone overlap matters.

Project-based roles like IT project managers, database administrators, and cybersecurity analysts also succeed in nearshore models because they need regular collaboration with internal teams, not just async ticket processing.

Most companies interview pre-vetted candidates within 5-7 days. The entire process, from kickoff call to signed offer, typically takes 2-3 weeks, compared to 60-90 days for local IT recruitment.

The speed comes from accessing a pre-screened talent pool rather than posting jobs and sorting hundreds of applications. You're interviewing 3-5 qualified candidates who've already passed technical assessments and English proficiency tests.

Yes. Nearshore IT talent uses the same tools your team uses, whether that's ServiceNow, Jira, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or your internal ticketing system. They follow your existing processes, security protocols, and escalation procedures.

The transition typically takes 1-2 weeks for onboarding and system access. After that, they operate like any other team member, just from a different location.

When hiring for your IT needs, consider the candidate's technical skills, experience, and proficiency in the specific IT areas your business requires, such as operating systems, hardware, and software, or network engineering. Also, consider their soft skills, like communication and problem-solving abilities, which are crucial for effective collaboration. Cultural fit is another important factor, as it can impact team dynamics and productivity. Lastly, consider the hiring model that best suits your business needs, whether it's full-time, short-term, or staff augmentation.
