Gino Ferrand, who grew up in the US but hailed from Peru, established TECLA upon noticing the abundance of skilled developers in South and Central America. After earning his degree from the University of San Diego in 2012, Gino returned to Peru with a modest $10,000 to kick off TECLA Labs. The agency crafted apps for renowned clients, including Mercedes Benz and Roche, tapping into the capabilities of cost-effective Peruvian developers. This savvy strategy caught the attention of US-based companies. Spotting a broader potential, Gino shifted TECLA's direction to link Latin American tech experts with businesses in North America. Now, Gino manages a thriving network of 20,000 Latin American software developers and has partnered with 243 companies globally.
