Know your price before the work begins
AI Transformation runs on a fixed AI Systems Sprint: four weeks, $15,000. You'll get a Statement of Work confirming the exact workflow we're building before any work starts.

Tecla's 4-layer vetting
Every candidate is looked at four ways before joining the network. They run in this order, so a senior engineer's time only goes to people who have already cleared communication and fit.

AI screening
Our proprietary screening model weighs each applicant’s technical background, experience, and role fit, narrowing the pool to a serious shortlist before human review. The model does the first read; candidates are measured in the layers that follow.

Recruiter interview
A recruiter evaluates communication, English fluency, and how the person will work with a US team day to day. Clearing this layer is what lets an engineer’s time go only to candidates who are ready to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively.

Technical assessment
A senior engineer examines how the candidate writes code, reasons about architecture, and defends the trade-offs behind their decisions. A working engineer judges another engineer's depth firsthand.

AI-fluency screen
We look for engineers who have absorbed AI into how they work: designing systems around it, building automations, and applying AI tools with judgment. What matters here is evidence that they already think and ship with these tools in real projects.
Vetted for the AI era
The strongest engineers today do more than write clean code.
They design around AI, automate the repetitive, and use modern tools with judgment, turning them into real leverage for the whole team.
That is why AI fluency is its own layer in our vetting, and why our recruiters and engineers stay current on the frameworks and tools your team uses. A candidate is judged the way your own engineers would judge them.

Hire from the engineers who clear all four
Tell us the role. Because the vetting is already done, you will see a shortlist in as few as 3 days, and a full-cycle hire in about three weeks, each candidate proven through every layer above.
What people ask about our vetting
What is Tecla's vetting process?
Tecla's vetting process has four layers, and fewer than 1% of applicants clear all of them. A proprietary screening model reads each application for skill and fit; a recruiter evaluates communication, English fluency, and culture fit; a senior engineer runs a technical assessment on real coding and system design; and an AI-fluency screen checks how the candidate works with modern AI tools. Only candidates who pass every layer join the network.
How selective is Tecla, really?
Fewer than 1% of applicants are accepted. Across the applications Tecla receives for each open role, competition has grown year over year, from roughly 90 applicants per role in 2024 to around 195 in 2026, while the bar held. As a result, acceptance has tightened from about 1.1% to roughly 0.5%.
Who runs the technical assessment?
A senior engineer runs it, engineer-to-engineer. They examine how the candidate writes code, reasons about architecture, and defends the trade-offs behind their decisions, so a working engineer has judged the candidate's depth firsthand before you ever meet them.
What is the AI-fluency screen?
It is the fourth layer of Tecla's vetting process, and the one that sets the bar apart. It looks for engineers who have absorbed AI into how they work: designing systems around it, building automations, and applying AI tools with judgment. The screen looks for evidence that they already build and ship with these tools in real projects.
Why does the order of the layers matter?
The layers run in sequence so each one filters before the next. AI screening narrows the pool, the recruiter interview confirms communication and fit, and only then does a senior engineer spend time on the technical assessment. This keeps engineering time focused on candidates who can already collaborate well.
Are candidates vetted for specific technologies and stacks?
Yes. The technical assessment is matched to the role, so a candidate is evaluated on the stack they would actually work in, across the modern frontend, backend, mobile, cloud, data, and AI/ML technologies. Our engineers stay current on the frameworks your team uses, so candidates are judged the way your own engineers would judge them.
How long does vetting take before I see candidates?
Because Tecla's vetting process runs before anyone reaches you, we can present a shortlist of vetted candidates in as few as 3 days, with a full-cycle hire in about three weeks.
What happens if a hire does not work out?
Every placement comes with a 90-day replacement guarantee. In practice it is rarely called upon: 98% of the talent Tecla places stays with the teams they join, which is the clearest signal that the vetting works.
