The company we are working with is a full suite online payroll management system that makes it easier for companies to manage payroll processing across teams, regions and countries.
The objective of the role: - Join the team as a senior full-stack developer participating in all the phases of the product life cycle, designing and developing core systems and features - Implement integrations into more complex systems related to legislation, building out taxation, costing, and general accounting calculation methods and transactions within the product. - Collaborate with the team to proactively recommend technical solutions that would aid the overall performance, maintainability, and scalability of the product Knowledge and experience: - 3-year Computer Science, Information Technology-related qualification or equivalent level of proven integrated experience of product and systems development, integration, and design - 4+ years of experience working with .Net frameworks and Microsoft Server Stack (WebAPI, ASP.NET webforms, .Net core, etc.) - implementing direct integrations with other systems - Web API and RESTful API design - Web components - Cloud AWS and Docker - Bundlers eg webpack, Parcel - experience optimizing for performance and improving security - familiar with Unit Testing Frameworks Technical tools and skills: - .Net Core - Entity Framework Core - PostgreSQL / SQL - Angular - AWS - Docker Experience with the following would be a plus: - Working with payment processing systems that include legislation and/or taxation calculation methods, costing, and general accounting transactions Core competencies: - Working with people: shows respect for the views and contributions of other team members; shows empathy; listens, supports and cares for others; consults others and shares information and expertise with them; builds team spirit and reconciles conflict; adapts to the team and fits in well - Applying expertise and technology: applies specialist and detailed technical expertise; uses technology to achieve work objectives; develops job knowledge and expertise (theoretical and practical) through continual professional development; demonstrates an understanding of different organizational departments and functions - Analyzing: analyses numerical data and all other sources of information to break them into component parts, patterns and relationships; probes for further information or greater understanding of a problem; makes rational judgments from the available information and analysis; demonstrates an understanding of how one issue may be a part of a much larger system - Learning and researching: Rapidly learns new tasks and commits information to memory quickly; demonstrates an immediate understanding of newly presented information; gathers comprehensive information to support decision making; encourages an organizational learning approach (i.e. learns from successes and failures and seeks staff and customer feedback) - Creating and innovating: produces new ideas, approaches, or insights; creates innovative products or designs; produces a range of solutions to problems - Achieving personal work goals and objectives: accepts and tackles demanding goals with enthusiasm; works hard and puts in longer hours when necessary; seeks progression to roles of increased responsibility and influence; identifies own development needs and makes use of developmental or training opportunities
