Our client is a fast paced start-up with top-notch technology and they have an interior design app that does the work for its users. Their tool turns a quick scan of your room on your iPhone into a hyperreal, editable 3D design so you can instantaneously redecorate any space. They are democratizing interior design so that anyone can immediately envision and share the possibilities of what a home could be. Team members are expected to advance real-world immersive technologies, while simultaneously crafting an engaging, consumer-focused mobile/desktop app. You’ll be working in a start-up environment with the opportunity to make a huge impact. You’ll also need to collaborate and ideate with technical and non-technical teammates alike.
You will be joining a small, experienced team. You will be responsible for building out their Unity front-end application in C# with their Principal Engineer. Your main focus is to build features that enable a simple, elegant experience that your own mother would enjoy using! Their focus is to make things easy for the user. Their target audience wants to spend their time designing and admiring their home rather than learning a new operating system. Responsibilities • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code • Communicate with other team members to establish an effective pipeline • Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to address and mitigate these problems • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization • Build features that pass the “Mother Test” and “Grandmother Test” • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications • Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests • Write technical design documents, for milestones and internal use. Qualifications • Ability to constantly learn and stay in touch with evolving standards and development technologies • Minimum 4 years of experience in C# • Knowledge of C# 7.0+ features, specifically familiarity with ASYNC Await • Hands-on experience with Unity3D engine (Editor and Scripting) • Experience with Unity’s ARFoundation and or Apple’s ARKit and or Google’s ARCore. • Shader experience is a huge plus • Excellent knowledge of Unity, including experience with scripting, textures, GUI styles, and user session management • Experience with mobile Unity development • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming • Familiarity with current design and architectural patterns, as well as continuous integration • Basic understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds • Proficient knowledge of code versioning tools, specifically GIT • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application • Experience with 3D is a huge plus (OpenGL, Vulkan) • Experience with / understanding of computer vision is a plus Additional Information • Remote work, with future option to transition to the US. • Potential for future relocation to company headquarters in the US. • Flexible schedule • Unlimited Vacation They expect all team members to be available for communication purposes during a consistent window of every day.
