We are looking for uniquely talented senior applicants with a strong track record of software engineering management and expert-level skills at the intersection of AI/Machine Learning research, computer vision, and large-scale distributed systems. Our products cross these domains, with a mix of engineers operating large scale distributed systems that deliver real-time performance to hundreds of millions of users, and ML specialists researching and implementing the latest sophisticated developments in areas from semi-supervised and active learning for visual domain perception and annotation, image/video retrieval, and beyond. We combine human and machine intelligence on a huge scale, and our products and services are used by many of the largest companies in the world. Candidate responsibilities: • Expertise in leading teams to success in delivering products to market, debugging issues with the software, infrastructure, and teams; • Help to prioritize tasks, guiding our sprints and roadmap; adapting and architecting solutions and APIs that fit with our existing codebases. • Design/architect novel techniques using the latest Deep Learning techniques, in order to support new features. • Inspire and champion the latest technologies, keeping up to date and sharing knowledge of the latest ML research topics. • You work on dynamically evolving systems and customer requirements, in a cross-functional manner, with production engineers, research scientists, product teams, and customers. Requirements: ➛ Practical experience leading projects using Python and specializations with up-to-date DL frameworks such as Pytorch or Tensorflow. You will have worked on taking research into production in one or more example areas: generative models, anomaly detection, active learning, semi-supervised learning, and large-scale distributed GPU or TPU based training, as well as scalable inference and data processing techniques. ➛Recent published academic or research work in the Machine Learning or Computer Vision conferences where we publish (e.g. NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, ICLR) or journals is a strong plus. A solid grasp of probability theory, statistics, or background in areas such as theoretical physics or quantitative finance would also be appealing. ➛Familiarity with production environments, CI/CD, DevOps tools, Kubernetes, test-driven development, writing reliable, well-documented code is desirable. ➛You'll look forward to working closely with a distributed team with veteran subject matter experts. ➛You'll be excited to solve problems, think unconventionally, develop tools to identify novel ways to extract signals automatically from huge volumes of data while proactively pushing the field forward. ➛Be a self-motivated thought leader rather than a follower, with a driven and inquisitive mindset. ➛Experience at startups or experience in data labeling, computer vision, security, and ML industries is also valuable.
