What kind of companies are hiring through TECLA?
We work with U.S. and European startups that are typically between seed-stage and Series A. This means that most of the startups that we can match you with have clients and users and a working product, or are close to having a working product. We work with companies that are disrupting industries like blockchain, AI, e-commerce, B2B tools, and many more!
Where do I have to live to be a part of the TECLA network?
We strongly believe in remote work being the way of the future. All of our opportunities are for remote work and are open to engineers based in any of the following countries in South America: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Uruguary, or Mexico. If you are a top engineer and you live in another country in South America, sitll reach out!
Why should I want to work remotely with U.S. and European startups?
Typically the opportunities we are bringing engineers at TECLA have bigger challenges, opportunities for serious disruption, better compensation, a flexible work policy, great team culture, and much more. If you are looking to take your career to the next level, apply to join the TECLA network. If you make it in, you'll be able to evaluate awesome job opportunities every single week.
Are there also opportunities for freelancers or part-time contractors?
Yes, absolutely. We mostly work with startups that are looking for permanent, full-time, hires, but ocassionally we do work with companies that are looking to augment their teams with part-time contractors and consultants. If you are interested in working with U.S. and European startups on a part-time basis, make sure to still apply to join the network.
How does TECLA get paid, or make money from this?
Many engineers want to know how it is that we can offer excellent job opportunities without being a traditional agency. We operate as a contingent recruiting firm, which means that we get paid by the hiring company, and not by candidates. We don't take a cut of your salary, or anything like that. We simply get paid a fee if our clients decide to hire you.
What happens if I don't get selected for a job I applied for?
Don't worry, and please don't take it personally! Yes, it's not the greatest feeling to not get selected for a job opportunity, but it's also not the end of the world, and things usually tend to work out for the best. If you aren't selected for an opportunity, still stay engaged with us. A few weeks down the road the perfect role might just open up.
